How do you spend a typical evening in?
I used to spend evenings in doing school work or revising but now it's summer I dont have to do that anymore!
Just curious as to what others do in the evening when not going out? I normally read, go on the Internet, shower or watch a bit of tv but it gets a bit dull haha -

P.S. Seeing the reaction towards my comment, I guess the TSR community is slightly asocial. I am guessing you are encouraged (by TSR) to stay at home, sit down in front of your computer and remain on the internet (preferably on TSR).Last edited by Chronist; 07-07-2012 at 07:52. -

Re: How do you spend a typical evening in?
Also finished my exams and in the same boat, a typical day home for me is waking up at about 1 or 2pm, make food and then spend my day 3pm-1am on the laptop (a sad life I know). And im not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but I've grown sick of my friends if that makes sense ? Like I dont really want to be around them for a while, so I don't really go out. Plus the problem with going out on the holidays where you have all day to be outside is money and because of the money my parents spent on my prom, my birthday both a few days ago and my holiday (soon) I don't really want to spend too much money so that my parents re-imburse me in the form of holiday money. But yeah it's been a boring summer holiday this far and it's dragging because of my eagerness to start college, so no your not the only one whos had a **** holiday. Plus Wimbledon's on TV.

Re: How do you spend a typical evening in?
If you are applying to uni in the up and coming year then a good thing to be spending your holidays doing is increasing your prospects ...
Personally as I want to do a Natural Science course at Cambridge I am investing i£25 in a Raspberry Pi and joining the local astronomy society.
One of my friends is spending his time writing a book as he wants to an English course, just another idea.
Just so I can add that little extra to the personal statement ready for when I apply.
The other option I havn't seen come up, if you are over 16 I guess, get a girlfriend ... they take up alot of time. -

Depends. If I'm at uni, I usually end up talking to housemates in the kitchen for hours on end. After we get in from uni we tend to sit down for a chat (with the intention of moving soon after, honest
) but it usually turns into sitting there for hours, realising it's now 10pm and we still haven't eaten dinner. Then we'll cook and either watch a film or watch some tv. Or continue talking.
If I'm at home, I used to be really antisocial and stay in my room all evening (I don't even know what I used to do, somehow I find myself getting bored when I do that now!) but now I tend to sit downstairs and watch tv with my parents. Usually if there's some BBC/ITV drama on we'll watch that. Or, pub with my friends.
At the moment my evenings as well as my days are completely consumed by le tour de france. I love July.
