If Aliens immigrated to Earth in mass, would Earthlings welcome them?Assuming IF aliens did exist. Which I think they do!
Would us Earthlings tolerate them? or would we wish to send them back to Mars or wherever they were cumming from.

Still, I think the arrival of aliens would seriously put 'racism' (and other prejudices) amongst fellow humans into perspective. -

If aliens landed on earth:
The Americans would imprison them in a secret base under the Mojave desert and develop all their technology into weapons or iPhones.
The Chinese would copy the alien technology and sell it to everyone.
The Japanese would sell their technology to the aliens.
The British would grant them asylum and give them a council flats in Haringey.
The French would try and get them to join the EU.
The Spanish would ask them for a loan.
The Cypriots would invite them to stay in hotels in Pafos and charge them 250 space credits per person per night not including meals. -

Let's be honest if aliens arrived en masse first thing we'd do is try to quarantine them a la District 9 (Obviously this would be to ensure the don't catch any deadly earth diseases rather than to contain/monitor them) Then the US would decide to take them into custody and try to reverse engineer alien any advanced alien technology. There would be a few publicity stunts of Aliens and the leaders of world powers hand in hand but ultimately if the aliens either could not provide us with advanced knowledge, or if they were fleeing a broken civilisation they would be treated with great mistrust and suspicion and quietly removed or "encouraged" to pick another planet.

Mainly because another life form would probably take a completely different form to any life that has ever existed on Earth. Seeing as every life form we know is Carbon based, if they were to be Silicon based, they could be completely different to us. Would we even recognise them as another life form?

The problem would be that a significant number of people would call it an illegal war and protest against it -and insist that the whole reason for alien invasion is because of Western imperialism. -

Do you think an entire alien race, having travelled many light years across the galaxy (or possibly the universe), will say "ok, that's fine. We'll be going then." when we say no? Not a chance.
If they're anything like us, they will fight for the planet. And we will say no - resources are already stretched at the moment, so having more "people" on the planet will strain them further. -
