If aliens landed on earth:

The Chinese would copy the alien technology and sell it to everyone.

The Japanese would sell their technology to the aliens.

The French would try and get them to join the EU.

The Spanish would ask them for a loan.

The Cypriots would invite them to stay in hotels in Pafos and charge them 250 space credits per person per night not including meals.

In response to this question I would like to direct you to a movie called District 9, fantastic film and a very interesting take on the usual consensus of alien invasion.

I suppose it would depend on their intentions. If they were hostile then of course they would not be welcome. If they were intelligent and willing to share ideas about science ect then I'm sure we would welcome some.
However if they came in millions or were diseased/dirty aliens I'm confident we would get rid of them asap. Also we would have to be careful as they may carry diseases we are not immune to. before there is any real human contact extensive testing would have to be done imo to prevent an epidemic.

I think Aliens do exist however I side with Stephen Hawking in that I think it would be dangerous to try to make contact with them.
Aliens might simply raid Earth for resources, then move on.

I guess it depends where they turn up... if they landed in Australia they'd need to pick up a trade pretty quickly...

How big are the aliens?

If they're human sized and they require as much space and resources as we do then England wouldn't have the room for them... I guess we'd take them anyway though.

America would definitely have them... North Korea... would be very interesting!

It has some funny bits but it's a very intelligent film, well worth the watch.

Well, I think the religious types will mostly go mad, teh bigger powers will try to obtain their technology and the general public will be awed / crap your pants scared

I don't think it should be us who worry though, it should the the aliens. If they took 5 minutes to study us and see that in almost every film where they are nice, we copy their technology and use to to overpower/kill them. What they should do is scan us from behind the moon and when ready bombard everything to ashes from orbit (we have literally no way of preventing this, especially if they have energy weapons ) Plus as long as they dont have a Mac or PC based computer system/ have the same programming as us, we can't upload a virus and win by luck.
