I apologise is this is a cyclical question in advance.
I am old and dont keep up to date with technology.
I want a phone that will play youtube videos with no hassle or fannying around converting this that and the other prior to watching.
I am looking at using up to one hour of youtube a day and wonder how that equates to the 1 gig monthly download given on many of the monthly plans?

Maybe a cheap android phone then an internet only sim. I know of Giffgaff, never been with them but you can get a 3gb a month for £12.50 which is pretty good. Is wifi not an option?

Any of the prominent smartphone operating systems (Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry OS) will stream from YouTube without issue. However Android and iOS have by far the best interface for it and also have the best handsets for this purpose.

An hour of HD video per day is likely to tear through a 1GB limit. You're way better off going on PAYG and getting as GiffGaff sim as mentioned above, a £10 topup will give you a month of unlimited data.

I will need a SIM free smartphone.
Any suggestions? not too fussed if it isnt the top end of things.

£100 on something nice and basic on ebay!
