Women - What do you define a gentleman...
So there's currently always things being said such as 'all boys are pricks.' This seems to say that EVERY single man is a dick?

So this begs the question, what do you define a gentleman?

    Gentleman = sweet, or cute.

Sweet or cute = incredibly ****ing boring.

In the eyes of women, that is...

Not all boys are pricks. They're really a small minority.

It isn't something a girl can 'define' for you, but I will give it my best shot.

For me a gentlemen is someone who remembers their basic manners, who can smile and hold a civil conversation in earnest without any rude remarks or sarcasm. Honesty helps, it is possible to be honest without being blunt.

Manners cost nothing and can make all the difference in the world, as can making sure that the girl gets to their lift home alright, something I find can generally help.

Someone (a man) who knows how to treat a woman - doing things for her, just being genuine and not rude, usually associated with being handsome too, and has manners and respect

Ahhh TS let me guess your in year 9 maybe 10 and now your facebook feed is full of girls who claim they ''want a REAL man'' or proclaim ''**** love'' and stuff like that, even though they are like 13, 14 years old. We've all been there son.

Don't worry yourself about trying to impress these kind of girls TS those kind of girls are obviously immature or are constantly going out with the wrong kind of boys and then complain when they get treated badly (so they've probably been around the block a few times).

But in short being a gentleman is just being pleasant. In the form of manners, compliment the girl and make sure you listen to her but also be vocal so make sure your 50/50 conversation wise because it lets off that your considerate and a good listener but at the same time confident.

    Good hunting

Why do you want know; women don't want a gentleman. It's just something they say. They are dishonest to themselves about this let alone us. Women are full of contradictions. Unfortunately it's often true they prefer an arrogant prick that treats them the opposite of a gentleman.

Here's a thought to the girls that say "all boys are pricks": why do you keep attracting pricks? Maybe it's you.

I disagree. I think that women want a gentleman, but end up settling for second best, which probably shows in the rate of divorces per year.
Fair enough - not all girls want a gentleman, but I think the majority do want one

You don't go to clubs and parties looking for a gentleman, and those are the guys you end up having relations with. Women find arrogant pricks attractive. Nice guys are at the bottom of the pile.

    Awfully generalised don't you think?
I do think you find gentlemen at the bottom, but when they are found, they aren't forgotten or lost. For example, my dad is often described as a gentleman, and after my mum had many rubbish boyfriends, she found him and is married for 24 years this year.

I don't 'want' to know. Just thought we could make a thread about it so if there are any arrogant pricks on her, and hell, there are. They will realise what women actually think of men who act 'hard'.

    Thank you.

lol @ "us nice guys get dumped on "

You guys only act friendly and sweet to women in the hope of getting some, and when you don't, you throw a hissy fit about how none of it worked, and shift the blame onto girls and accuse them of only preferring "douchebags" because they don't want your passive-aggressive, victim complex, manipulative ass. That's not a "nice guy."

I guess a "gentleman" these days would be someone who doesn't see girls solely as an object to get sex from, treats them equally and fairly REGARDLESS of what's in it for them, is somewhat thoughtful and perhaps a bit chivalrous, mature, and all round decent person. These are the guys who always get the girls in the end.

By "in the end", what is meant that they keep the girl. The decent guys will be the ones with the long term relationships and successful marriages.

And by "nice guys", I mean genuinely good people, not people who call themselves "nice guys" because they think that they are.

If you're somone who complains all the time that girls don't want "nice guys" and that they get the short end of the stick and how you always get blown off because you are a "nice guy" then newsflash. You are not a nice person.

Genuinely nice people don't go on and on about how nice they are and how they get such a bad deal from life.

The way people always talk about this **** like there's some kinda dichotomy, that you can ONLY be a 'nice guy' or an arrogant dick is just ****ing stupid.

It's perfectly possible to sit somewhere in the middle. Everything in moderation. Someone that is always going out of their way to be a 'gentleman' is going to be ****ing boring, and guys that are antithetical to that are detestable.
