The F1 circus now arrives at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. Last year, Alonso took the win with a spectacular drive in variable weather conditions and amidst the controversy of the off-throttle blown diffuser. But, this year, who knows what could happen? Will we get an eight different winner? Will we get a consecutive grand prix won by its home driver? Will the ground Alonso has gained be nullified? If one thing can be predicted, we're most likely not going to get a boring race.

The race clashes with the men's singles final at Wimbledon. A dilemma for some, but I know what I'll be watching.

Your weather forecast appears to broken .

Looks like it's highly likely to rain over the entire race weekend; a lottery.

The colon's in the url messed it up for some reason.. Cheers for the heads up. Fixed.

And yep. Another potential lottery, but could be made more predictable with all sessions being rain affected.. If the race starts dry on Sunday and the teams expect rain midway, it'll just be another race where the rain never comes, like Monaco.

Rain is a dead cert, particularly as the race occurs at the same time as the Wimbledon finals!

Can someone remind me... the new start/finish straight is between Arena and Brooklands isn't it?

Should be interesting will Red Bull pull away like they did in Valenica again? Looks like several teams are getting upgrades in time for Silverstone

    Rain? Brilliant.

Although I still am baffled at the choice to keep the DRS zone at Wellington when we have a massive great long straight at Hangar instead. I don't remember it working particularly well there last year...

If you're talking about the livery it's part of Red Bull's Wings for Life charity. The BBC have talked about it a couple of times on their coverage. It's basically lots of photos of people covering the car and they've made it resemble their normal livery.

    Here's an article about it:

Red Bull have done it before a couple of times. DC had a different livery promoting Wings for Life for his last ever race (2nd pic).

    EDIT:

Whilst we're on the subject of liveries, Lotus will have some sort of Batman livery this weekend:

Can't wait, especially if it rains. Should be lots of strong candidates to challenge Vettel.
