    Confused... Help?
Right ok so todays the day my contract comes in. My new allowance. This is the first time i have had a bill but i am seriously confused, they have gave me my new allowance and when i tried to phone up using the automated system it says "Thanks for trying to make a payment but you don't currently owe money on this account" Da***?

So did i just get lucky or will they take it some other time?

    Hmmm... its a tricky one.

I see you going down 2 routes:

    1. Play stupid - Don't say anything keep checking your DD. If they are taking 10p each time, it may be some glitch. I would keep the money you would have paid as they make turn round 6-12 down the line and ask for the money back (as its probability in the length terms & conditions that they can do stuff like this)

    2. Phone up - Query this over the phone. They may start charging you the right amount.

Up to you, please let us know your outcome

I would play stupid as 'debt' says (ironic name to comment on such a post btw )

But keep the extra cash in a saving account or something, don't just blow it as technically you do owe that money and they could call you on it at any time... so be prepared and enjoy your healthier bank balance.

looks like it was a small glitch, but at least you have saved a little for the first month

I had a similar problem, I only paid 16p for a £30 bill, paid this for three months running and no one has since chased me for the rest of the bill.
