Can you be a bit more specific as to what you need?

But i guess you could talk about all the computing they needed to conclude it's existence. Very little of the work was actually done by scientists.

Who, if not scientists, did all of the computing? Monkeys?

What i meant was, the physicists made the programs, but there was not way they could sift through all the data manually.

They rely on computers to decide whether an event is interesting or not.
