What are your Youth unemployment concerns?
What are your concerns with youth unemployment?
It seems students are the most disadvantaged and those whom are wanting a part time job while at college, well, good luck there.

My concern is that colleges are teaching skills for employment, but this is useless if you've not had the experience of the workplace.
Only those who are doing apprenticeships have any chance, in my view, because part of the program is being in a place of work.

    So, please discuss your concerns?

overall theres is barley any work i have been job seeking for 3 years since i left college and i was only able to get 1 full time job whihc i regret leaving and now unemployed again due to my inexperience of the jobs market.

employers want experience how can i get experience if ive never done the job and no employer will take me on?

i usually do all my applications online and i have sent countless cvs with replys such as "due to the overwhelming response of over 100 apllication i regret to inform you you have not been chosen for this position good luck in your future job search blah blah blah"

its like our current generation of youth has been tossed on the scrapheap.

Its comments like this that I guess you've heard on question time or something, so I guess you repeat yourself, yet given the amount of adverse selection in this respect, the people who are unemployed are the ones who will complain about it. That is, you will not hear from those who managed to find a job as they will be working. Thus, the unemployed overwhelm the media coverage on the matter.

Maybe you should try directly approaching firms, I managed to get a MW job on my 10th application the other day, that was through looking for adverts in windows and applying directly.

Not really. People just keep telling it to themselves because it is easy.
