You should get released, but it may take a while which would be awkward if you wanted to enter Clearing

Thanks. Doubt I'll be going through clearing, so that shouldn't be an issue.

They will be busy around results day though, so if you know in advance you're not gonna go there it would be better to phone them up early and arrange to be released then.

Just a quicky - how possible is this? E.g. on results day. My firm is likely to be AAA and if I miss this my insurance is 320pts which shouldnt be a problem, but if I decide to have a gap year or whatever after not getting into my firm then will I have a problem getting released from the insurance?

Cheers

Withdrawing your application (i.e. taking a gap year) is no problem at all.

Yeah, it should be fine, I went through pretty much the same thing last year.

Most important thing to remember if you want to be released that I found, is to make sure the said university doesn't take ages to release you if you do decide to go into clearing, because it can leave you in a bad position!

And be ready for a lot of time on the phone, results day is busy busy busy..

Thanks guys! I guess I'd better get working so I can get the AAA so being released won't be an issue!
