For Law - Cardiff or Reading?
Hi everyone. I'm new to these forums but after receiving my IB results a few hours ago I realized I was in dire need of some advice.
I have received offers to study law in both Cardiff and Reading, and I'm having a tough time deciding between the two, especially after reading some very contradictory articles and threads.
From what I gather, Cardiff is more of an established, well-known law school but it seems to be resting on its laurels a little - as can be seen from its relatively low standings in the law school rankings. Reading seems to be more up-and-coming and has a very attractive position in the rankings.
I know that I shouldn't put too much weightage on the ranking systems, but thechoice between these two Uni's is becoming increasingly difficult. Reading seems to be going from strength to strength in the recent years, but does this out-weight the fact that it is less established and well-know for law in regards to Cardiff?
From a strictly academic perspective, I would really appreciate it if you guys could share your opinions with me on this choice

Re: For Law - Cardiff or Reading?
I chose Reading and I'm just starting my second term there next week. It's a good law uni with good lecturers.
The place has its advantages, especially it's close proximity to London. However, the town is pretty small, much smaller than the city of Cardiff. However I'm sure the student halls in Reading are much better.
The decision between these universities was very tight for me, and I often find myself thinking 'what if', especially since the start to my uni life has been a little harder than I thought.
Good luck with which ever option you choose
