Why Do People Care About En-Suites?
It seems that in almost every accomodation thread, people are desperate to have rooms with en-suites? Why?

Surely people can't be that concerned with sharing a toilet to warrant the extra fee.
Maybe I'm biased because I don't have an en-suite at home but It still all seems ridiculous to me. -
Re: Why Do People Care About En-Suites?You'd rather pay hundreds of pounds extra, just so you never have to wait for the shower?(Original post by Carrby)
Because people don't trust the stereotypical chunder dragons to keep it clean? That's why I want an en-suite. And because then I can shower whenever I like rather than sorting out a schedule with a bunch of people I don't know and might not even like. -
Re: Why Do People Care About En-Suites?
i want my own toilet so that i can have my own stuff and privacy with people i don't fully know
also the majority of accommodation at brunel where im headed is ensuite and pretty new, whereas the older worn out accommodation is not ensuite i believe
i'm not that bothered about sharing really.. but i do like to have showers at antisocial times and walk about at 2am etc before bed so yeah having my own ensuite will be handy plus there is no competition to use the bathroom etc.. plus its only about £5 more a month -
Re: Why Do People Care About En-Suites?
I know my family's hygiene habits, I don't know the habits of the people I will live with so I don't really want to risk putting up with what they feel is normal but what I feel is terrible. I know I can get obsessive with cleaning etc, I don't want to put up with other people's habits and I don't want them to get fed up with me constantly complaining about the state of the bathroom. Works both ways.

Re: Why Do People Care About En-Suites?
In case you end up living with someone who deals drugs and invite their 'customers' along to the house at 2am who in their drunk and stoned state think it's hilarious to sit against your door and block you in so you end up having to wee in a bin.
I'm having an ensuite this time. -
Re: Why Do People Care About En-Suites?
Having shared bathroom facilities with students, i'd much rather have my own private toilet and shower.
Some people are dis.gusting to say the least. I'll just throw the following words out there:
mud
grime
caked on faces
urine stains
enormous hair balls
toiletries left so long in the shower cubicle that they are consumed by mouldLast edited by Ham22; 06-07-2012 at 21:07. -

Your family wont make 'poo mountains' for the lolz the night before a cleaner visits your flat.
