PPE or Economics degree? Job prospects
Hi
I am unsure of whether to go into Philosophy, politics and economics or just economics on its own.
Which degree will lead to better career prospects?
Considering my GCSE's(3A 4B 2C 1D) and providing i get all A's for my AS levels which option should i go for?
OPTION 1
Uni of Sussex - PPE(AAA)
Uni of Nottingham - Philosophy and Econ(AAA)
Uni of York - PPE(A*AA/AAA)
Uni of Manchester - Philosophy and Econ(AAB)
Uni of Essex - PPE(AAB/ABB)
OPTION 2
Uni of Birmingham - Economics(AAA)
Uni of Nottingham - same as option 1
Uni of Manchester - Economics(AAA-AAB)
Aston Uni - Economics and management(AAA/AAB)
Keele Uni - Economics(ABB)
I'm not into investment banking, i wouldn't mind becoming an economics journalist. Would it be possible to go into law with a degree in PPE?
Cheers -
Re: PPE or Economics degree? Job prospectsWould you say that PPE degree is mostly respected if it's from Oxford or Warwick compared to someone who's studied it at Sussex?(Original post by paddy__power)
Depends if you want to study philosophy and politics or not really. Prospects from both degrees are good assuming all other things being equal and yes you can go into law with a degree in PPE. -
Re: PPE or Economics degree? Job prospectsYes, rightly or wrongly. How well you do in that degree and the relevant experience and interview skills you possess will also contribute to you getting or not getting a job of course....(Original post by 16dan2life)
