Apparently Turing's death resulted from him eating a poisoned apple!(Original post by shadab786ahmed)
It's to do with Adam and Eve and how they ate from the tree that they were told not to... They bit the apple

Yeah you got that right!!(Original post by Architecture-er)
They're trying to brainwash you into thinking apple products are healthy. Which they're not, at least for your wallet.

Re: Is the bitten Apple logo on apple® computers...
From Wiki:
"The Apple logo was designed with a bite so that it would not be recognized as another fruit. The colored stripes were conceived to make the logo more accessible, and to represent the fact the Apple II could generate graphics in color." -

From the Wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Turing it says:
The logo of Apple Computer is often erroneously referred to as a tribute to Alan Turing, with the bite mark a reference to his method of suicide. Both the designer of the logo and the company deny that there is any homage to Turing in the design of the logo.In Series I, Episode 13 of the British television quiz show QI presenter Stephen Fry recounted a conversation had with Steve Jobs, saying that Jobs' response was, "It isn't true, but God, we wish it were."
It's got Turing all over it if you ask me.
