Discussion about all kinds of temporary work, for Saturday jobs to summer holidays and gap years. Please note: not the place for advertising job opportunities.

Should I tell my current boss that I am looking for a 2nd job over the summer?
I have just finished sixth form and am currently a sales assistant on a 4 hour contract. I used to work Saturday's but now school is over my hours are all over the place. I have asked for more hours but it's not enough to help me raise extra cash for uni.

Should I tell my manager that I am looking for extra work and that off I got another job could we compromise? I can't leave because I need to give 4 weeks notice.

    Help

It's not your Boss's business what you do outside the hours you work for them. You can ask them for more hours, but if they don't give them then it is obvious but none of their business if you get another job.
