When do the colleges ad six forms process the grades to unis so they can see if we have matched their requirements, and then offer us our accomodation which we applied for?

I think that the uni's get the grades straight away on your results day. I'm not entirely sure but i've been told that most people try to log onto ucas cause your offer will be finalised the day of. I've also been told that ucas servers usually go down because everyone tries to log on. I think that the university will try and offer accommodation within the week, it's going to be a busy time for them.

6th forms dont have anything to do in the process of informing the university of your grades. thats for UCAS to do, and they hear from the exam boards. anyway you should have an accomodation offer any time between the week after results and early September.

The universities receive results from the exam boards a few days before results day (16th August) however they cannot speak to you in this period and so you will only find out your results on Results day itself. Provided you meet the offer and have made the necessary accommodation applications (the requirements for which vary from university to university) you should hear from them with confirmation within a week or two after results.
