    Southampton Solent University
Is Southampton Solent University any good? I know the actual Southampton one is but I feel the entry requirements are a bit unrealistic for me.

I know the Solent doesn't do too well on the league tables, but the accomodation looks good, its rated well on whatuni.com.
Do league table positions really matter? If I am willing to put the effort in, would I still not come out achieving my full potential?

depends on what you are studying ... some employers may consider the status of your university

It is if you are aiming for a graduate training contract such as accountancy and law. Must be some other uni. between Southampton and Solent. As long as you work hard for your A level, you still stand a chance to achieve good grades.

I think solent ranks highly for sport sciences and physiotherapy etc, but for core and proffesional subjects they rank fairly low

Southampton Solent is in my opinion is good but I'm biased by going there myself. What is good for one person can be bad for another and you should just form your opinion by asking, does the course they offer meet what you need? I couldn't cared for the league table as I Skillset meant more to me and so did the Access Solent which has assisted my needs whilst on the course.
