I imagine people get road rage when they're stuck behind me during 1 of my lessons where I'll be meandering along under 20mph.. (though in my defence I've only had three lessons!).

I get road rage with a lot of people, I sit in my car and swear a lot - but when other people are in the car with me they point out that the thing that makes me most angry is people parking in stupid places.

For example, you make a left turn and someone's parked either right before the bend or just after the bend. Or, there's an area near me where I have to go to deliver register of elector forms. I park on the left, but I've noticed that one particular person who lives there always INSISTS on parking in front of their house. Even if that means parking opposite my car and blocking the road up, despite there being room to park about 20 yards away (I've started parking here now, because that person clearly will never budge..) How on earth they think any emergency vehicles would get through, I don't know.

To be honest I get annoyed whenever people do stupid things on the road, even if they don't directly affect me. My most used phrase: "who ****ing well parked that there?!"

    What annoys me.

    A) Tailgating (especially if i am doing slightly over a speed limit and someone is flashing light so to move me in left lane)
Rage? Well there was a case when I tried to warn a guy behind that was tailgating me. I turning on lights then then brake gently then harshly (that is on a motorway). He got MAD tried to wave to the left to get me on a lay-by for a talk I ignored him then when he went in front he broke suddenly then he tried to cut me up from the side and he wouldn`t drop from my tail for further 10-15 minutes.

I am writing this to advice other not to provoke idiots, just pull in to the left lane and let them overtake if it is possible (but don`t rush check mirrors, signal).

    B) People that are stuck behind lorries and then think too long before changing lane ( I usually try to leave plenty of braking distance so I think they should take this opportunity and change lane quickly without causing me to slow down)

    C) Drivers that constantly change from left to right lane.

I've been getting very annoyed recently. I'm learning, but at test standard so I know pretty much what I'm doing. Today I got into the outside lane at a roundabout by mistake (the sun was low and I didn't move across fast enough), so I was going along this dual carriageway trying to get back in on the left (but still progressing up very quickly to the speed limit!!!). I couldn't get back in. Not because of the amount of traffic, but because of the number of total idiots trying to undertake me! I was going exactly at the speed limit! That annoyed me.

Also, at another roundabout, I was going straight on, and a guy pulled out. If he had bothered indicating, I would have realised he was going down the left slip road, but since he didn't, I had to slow down to make sure he didn't hit me!

Another few amount of people that just DO NOT indicate. Or pull off silly manoevres in stupid places. Also two boy races gunning down a road, stopping between parked cars to have a chat, then gunning down past me. Then his friends that he had stopped to talk to just staring at me... annoying!

Oh and... me and my boyfriend were waiting to get into a parking space for AGES. I mean these people were putting kids in car seats we were waiting that long. We were waiting opposite it at a junction, lights on, edged slightly out of the junction so it was very VERY clear we were waiting. Then some d***h*** in a BMW pulled in straight away. I was fuming. I launched across my boyfriend to get on that horn. I would have got out to have a word with the guy, but I calmed myself down. Still annoys me now though.

Well, I posted a while ago saying I have mild road rage but never too bad - today, however, I've never been so angry in the three years I've been driving.

I popped out to tescos - in the 15 minutes driving there and the 15 minutes driving back - I was cut up or pissed off by EIGHT different drivers. EIGHT.

The worst and final offender, however, blatantly cannot use indicators, nor can they use roundabouts. I was going onto a roundabout which was clear from the right, doing about 25-30mph (off a road that was a 60). Some FOOL proceeded to pull out in front of me at the last second, and I had to brake pretty damn hard. Of course, this driver was taking the same turn as me, so I glared and swore at them (from the inside of my car of course ). Followed them all the way down to the road (while they proceeded to do 20mph under the 40 speed limit, which annoyed me even more).

Then, we come to another roundabout. I go in the right lane to turn right, and indicate right. They go in the left lane, presumably to go left or straight over. I get halfway around the roundabout, check my mirrors, indicate left to turn into my desired junction. ALL OF A SUDDEN, the same ****ing idiot decides they're going to go ALL THE WAY AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF MY CAR, and to continue all the way around the roundabout IN THE LEFT LANE.

HOW. HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK.

I've got their reg plate and I'm half tempted to report them to the police, probably not worth it in the slightest but at least I'd feel better. :p: I had to pull over after that and sat there and screamed for about ten minutes.

Some people really do not deserve the privilege of having a licence. I don't know how they even pass the test in the first place. Where do they pick up such awful and dangerous driving habits?!

I hate people that tailgate but never overtake. I'll be doing the limit (normally on 30 roads) and then up comes:

    a) the boy racer

    b) the impatient Mum who drives a Mercedes saloon

They will sit behind me doing 29 but never go past me, I really don't understand people like this. I get annoyed at generally bad drivers who don't make observations but I have never gone full-ape-wind down windows-and curse on anyone. And yes I did generalise with the tailgaters but it's just a joke based on experience

I think that taxi drivers are the worst drivers of all. There are a few good ones, but these are few and far between. I really hope taxi drivers pay more insurance than young drivers as I've never seen a young driver as bad as some taxi drivers I've seen.

Tailgating really annoys me. If people tailgate me I'll slow down, and usually they get the message, and either drop back or overtake. However, once I slowed down to 30, then to 20, then even to 10, on a 40mph dual carriageway. There were no other cars around, just me and the taxi, it was perfectly safe to overtake. But for some reason he just stayed behind me, like he was trying to taunt me or something

I've also had a taxi overtake me over a solid white line, which was just before the road changed to a dual carriageway. If he'd have left it half a second longer, he'd be stuck on the wrong side of the central reservation. Worst thing was, he was carrying passengers at the time. And yes I was doing the speed limit at the time.

This wasn't a taxi, but I once slowed down to let someone out of a slip road, who then went into the right hand lane and slowed down so they were level with me, and the passenger leaned out of the window and yelled some sort of abuse to me  Way to say thanks!!

I put P plates on my car when I first passed. After 3 weeks I took them off to clean my car, and couldn't be bothered to put them back on. I couldn't believe the difference! With P plates, other drivers think you're going to be nervous and slow and generally a bad driver, so they will overtake you dangerously, beep at you to 'encourage' you, and generally not like you to be on 'their' road. Without them, they won't know. Just drive without them, drivers will see you the same as any other driver, I never got beeped at for stalling without my P plates, or anything else either. With P plates I got beeped at for waiting too long at a roundabout (wasn't even waiting that long), amongst other things.

Cyclists on country lanes who don't pull in to let queuing traffic pass, people who don't signal properly on roundabouts and people who do 40 in a National Speed Limit (when it's safe to do 60) are the worst.

I wouldn't presume to accuse you of bad driving without having seen how you drive, but I have a suspicion that you might be lane-hogging. You shouldn't ever be in a position where someone is following on on a 2 lane road for 10-15 minutes trying to overtake you.

Equally, changing from the left-hand lane to the right-hand lane frequently is fine - as long as it's not unreasonable, that can be the best thing to do to maintain lane discipline and allow everyone to make maximum progress.

Tailgating when you are going the speed limit. There's a 30 road near where I live, with a very obvious and active speed camera placed along it. I always go 30 here, and on one occasion there was a car who had come up behind me at about 60, had to slam their brakes on when they came up behind me, and began weaving all over the place, trying to pot a gap in the stream of opposite traffic so they could ovetake. But the hilarious thing was, the moment they spotted the camera (you could see it from about 200m away), he slowed right down and widened the gap excessively. Once he had passed the camera however, he started tailgating me again.

I was grateful when it became a 60 zone so I could temporarily put some space between him and I.
Why didn't he speed in the sixty zone?

I've found that a lot of drivers, even aggressive speeders who tailgate you for doing the speed limit, don't like going above 60 for some reason. I went down the motorway today (not even during rush hour) and had to go into the third lane to do 65-70mph. In the other two lanes it was more like 50. Also there's a few dual carriageways near me that are a 70mph limit, you'll rarely see people going above 60 on them, despite the fact that most continue to do 60 when the limit drops to 50.

I apologise for the lack of power my bike has. It doesn't like going quickly up hills.

I personally hate tailgaters. I know that as a biker they'll likely be able to stop before me, but it still doesn't make it enjoyable.

Non-use of indicators does my head in.

I'd never get out of the car to start an argument or a fight about it. Usually I just yell and swear a lot!
    The ones that really annoy me are;
    1. People who don't indicate, whether it be at a junction, roundabout or a turn off, I'm not a mind reader and can't tell where you're going
    2. People who talk on the phone whilst driving, it's illegal for a reason- use handsfree if it's that important!
    3. Old people who drive very slowly/ overly cautious. Just as dangerous as going too fast!
    4. Learners who also drive too slowly though we were all learners once so I don't tend to get too annoyed by them
    5. People who overtake when i'm doing the speed limit, I move into the middle of the road if there's no car coming to annoy them.
    6. People who run red lights, it's either going to get them or someone else killed!
    7. Cyclists who think they own the road.
    8. People who at roundabouts/ junctions miss a lot of gaps where the could've gone!
    9. Boy racers/ 16 year old moped people who act all arrogant riding one handed, over revving the car/ bike swerving in and out of traffic dangerously!
    10. Roadworks that cause massive traffic jams, of course it's not a person but I still yell at it!

What's been annoying me the most recently is when you're driving along a congested 1 way street and the car in front of you stops. Instantly I think that they're letting someone out to cross over the road... until I then see them put their indicators on as they now want to reverse back into a space to parallel park in! Then I have to try reverse back because I can't go around them, while they take an absolute age to actually reverse back enough for me to go around them why they don't drive into the space and park that way, or indicate well before it is beyond me!

    EDIT: Thought of more things:
    - When people are rude to R drivers (just passed drivers in NI); I remember having only passed my test a few days and getting horned down at a roundabout even though I was moving and didn't stall
    - When buses/coaches stop on corners to let out American tourists. Hateful!
    - When people illegally/dangerously overtake me then cut in in front of me and narrowly miss colliding with a car
    - When people tailgate and don't overtake when they actually can
    - When people drive ridiculously slow for no reason; I was in a 40 a week ago and a guy was doing 25mph! It was a straight, wide road too...
    - When people flash their lights for no reason; A lorry flashed me and I was so confused to why; my lights weren't on (it was during the day), I wasn't on his side of the road, I was doing a normal speed...
    - When people speed up when you're over taking them; how can they think it's actually okay to go from 25 to 50mph as soon as I start to over take?!
    - When idiots drive too fast on country roads, and crash and therefore increase the insurance for everyone else; stop being so stupid!
