Pericoronitis - anyone had?
Wisdom tooth has been coming through for two/three years now.. top one started when I was about sixteen and finally finished last summer (I'm 21 in three weeks).. Bottom one as I said is still not quite through.. Got very sore last week and then cheek started to swell so had to see dentist on holiday, on Friday, who diagnosed me with pericoronitis
and charged £6.12 for the pleasure.. Was given an antibiotic sachet which I had to mix with water and drink, followed by a week's course of metronizadole.
Am now three tablets into the metro-stuff, they've left me feeling weird. Very shaky and dizzy, and can't walk or use my hands normally. Also left me feeling like everything is tipping to the right, and have a horrible taste in my mouth, as if I've been licking spoons!!
That I could cope with, and I did speak to a friend's mum (staff nurse) who said that if I were in hospital she'd get a doctor to check me over, but as I'm at home I should wait til tommorow to get advice, it being out of hours etc..
However - the pericoronitis thing is actually getting a bit weirder. No longer am I swollen on my face, but the gum on the outside of my teeth seems to have grown considerably and covered up half of the teeth.. not like the full teeth (so not over the top.. it's very sore and feels fluidy, like a blister almost.. Not only that but because it's on the teeth it isn't attached to anything, just at the bottom and so is a bit flappy, stuff's getting caught in it, so for example after lunch I had to pull a chive out

Unsure what to do but if anyone has ever had this before and can offer advice would be interested to hear it xx wondering if the swelling is normal or if there's a way of sorting it..
