    Quant Masters Programmes
Think I've finally found the right thread

Was just wondering which universities in the UK are good for further education in finance- specifically quant based programmes such as financial engineering or risk management. I've heard good things about Cass and LSE, mainly because they have some projects which are actually sponsored by investment banks. I did a mathematics degree and would like to build on that knowledge at some point (I've also had some work experience at an investment bank).

I've also had a look at the Certificate in Quantitative Finance, however the price of £14,000 for a 6 month part-time education is a bit off-putting.

    Anybody like to chip in?

as far as I know the programmes suitable for quants are financial maths and only financial maths/ computational finance (if it has a programming part to it), this does not include courses such as MSc finance which are a generalised course without the hard maths (economics undergrades can get enrolled on it)

    Oxford: MSc computational finance
    LSE: MSc Financial Maths
    UCL: MSc Financial Maths
    Cass:MSc Financial Maths

I turned down Cass because of the deposit requirement.
I'm going UCL, let me know if you happen to get in. private message me.
