Has anyone read the book The Kosher Jesus?
    Hello,

I recently heard about 2 books, the Kosher Jesus by Shmuley Boteach and the Real Kosher Jesus by Michael L. Brown.

Has anyone here read either one? I would like to read them both. I've only read articles about both books and their authors.

According to the articles, Shmuley Boteach believes that Jesus (Yeshua) was a good rabbi who struggled against Roman occupation of Israel. He does not believe that Jesus is the Messiah or that God rose Jesus from the dead. Even though I believe Jesus is indeed the Messiah, I do respect his belief and his right to believe what is different than me.

Jesus is the most controversial Jewish person in history. Sadly, for years many Gentile "Christians" have persecuted, robbed, and killed Jewish people, labeling them "Christ Killers" and hating them, which is contrary to Jesus' teachings on love.

As for the book The Real Kosher Jesus by Michael L. Brown, I suspect this book is more in line with what I personally believe. However, I do respect Shmuley Boteach's right to believe what he believes concerning Jesus, as well as other Jewish people's right to believe that Jesus is not what Shmuley Boteach believes or what I believe or what Michael L. Brown believes. I hope that people, even though they disagree with what others believe, are tolerant and agree to disagree with other people.

Tragically, people have killed and hurt people because of differences of beliefs, as well as differences in politics. However, hopefully more and more people in the world are growing in tolerance, research, and striving to understand what other people believe and why, instead of blindly hating on others who are different than them.

Peace and God bless, and to Jewish people who believe in G-d, peace and may G-d greatly bless you, no matter what you believe concerning Jesus!!! MAY "Christians" NO LONGER PERSECUTE THE JEWISH PEOPLE, NO MATTER WHAT THEY BELIEVE!

Hiya, I haven't read the books but thanks for telling these books exist! I'll try to find at least the other, I'm really interested in books and articles concerning theological issues.

I think that there is more intolerance now than there has ever been in the last 200 years.

These are all messianic books written by a known messianic which is fine if you are non-Jewish and into that sort of thing but for good books trying to uncover the Historical and Jewish Jesus i suggest Geza Vermes stuff.
