    Confused, Seeking Advice
    Hi Guys,

    MY Situation:

    I am 23 years old.
I have completed 2 years Bachelors Degree (B.Com = Bachelors of Commerce) from a Uni in Pakistan with a poor overall % of 53.
I have completed Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (Level 7 awarded by ABP) from a College in UK.
I have done IELTS as well with an overall band score of 6.
I have no work / Business Experience.
I am Going to start prepairing GMAT.
I am not good in Theoretical subjects (where creative writing is involved), but i am good with practical subjects like Accounting , Maths etc.
I want to pursue my education in USA because my bro lives in Kennesaw, Georgia so accomodation will not be a problem for me.
I am thinking to apply for Georgia State Uni or Kennesaw State Uni for MAcc / MPA program.

This is where i need ur advice:

With my 2 years Bachelors Degree + Postgraduate Diploma, can i get enrolled in GSU or KSU?
(Or if i score good in GMAT, then what are my chances)

I am going for Masters in Accountancy MAcc / MPA, wld that be a right choice for my future? i wanted to do MBA concentration in Accounting but i think i can
t get in for that program without any work experience. Am i right?

Can u please suggest me other good uni's in USA where:

Masters programs (in Accounting) are AACSB accredited.
Very affordable for International students (Tuition + Accomodation Prices).
    Application process is not hard.
Career / Internship oppurtunites after completion of Program.

Please guys help me what should i do, am i going for the right course, can i get enrolled in US uni?

I'm pretty sure your 2-year degree isn't going to get you onto a Master's program. Your degree is what is equivalent to an Associate's Degree in the US (the first two year's of a 4-year undergraduate degree). US universities require an actual Bachelor's degree for entry onto Master's programs, not to mention a certain number of upper level (= last two year's of a Bachelor's degree) credits relating to a major. You should look at the requirements on the universities' websites and contact them with your question, but I really don't see how you would be eligible for entry onto a graduate program. In all likelihood, if they accept you, you'll be accepted onto a Bachelor's program to complete your undergraduate education.

Just email admission in both Unis and ask.

This is a UK forum, people here are unlikely to know, anyway.

I am from the US and I can tell you that BA here is 4 years minimum. We have never heard of 2 year BA. We have no Diploma and no equivalent to Diploma, as far as I know. Diploma is a British thing. How admissions office will look at all this? My guess is as good as yours.

A two-year BA isn't an actual, full undergraduate degree. Doesn't a complete undergrad degree in Pakistan also take 4 years, but you can study for two years (and get a paper at the end of it) at an institution that is affiliated with a university? Well, that is the exact same thing as an American Associate's Degree (AD). It's also like the British PG Diploma - you can study for a postgraduate qualification, not go all the way to a Master's, but still get a paper/qualification for your studies aka PG Certificate/Diploma. But having that diploma doesn't mean you have completed the Master's level. It's the same thing with your 2-year degree. As far as I know, 3 years is the minimum amount of time required to obtain a full Bachelor's degree anywhere in the world. The only exception would be if you studied for 2 years straight, without any breaks at all. In any case, to know for sure where you stand with your qualifications you need to contact the admissions offices of the universities in question.

It's already been said, but yeah you have to have a bachelor's degree to attend a master's program in the US. In some special cases a university will consider someone who has extensive work/life experience depending on the type of program.

And since I'm a Southern, I will say that the two universities you're considering in GA probably won't be very difficult to gain admission--once you've met the requirements.
