MSc Occupational Psychology / MSc Leadership and Talent Management
    Hi all,

Wow it has been awhile since I've been here, 6 years to be exact!

I graduated from Royal Holloway in 2009 with a 2:2, and originally wanted to continue on to read Organisational Psychology at City. Obviously given the 2:2 it hindered me abit, so I took some time out to work and hopefully gain more experience.

I ended up working as a PA in a Swiss based Private Bank, which ended up going haywire so I thought this could be the year to finally pursue my studying. I got offered a 3 month role at a global Asset Management firm, once again as a PA to the MD, and they are offering me a small role as a Data Analyst but once again only as a cover position.

I ended up saying no, and now have two options for my PostGrad

    1) MSc Organisational Psychology at Birkbeck

    2) MSC Leadership and Talent Management at Goldsmiths

The reason why I am positing this is because I am stuck and very confused. I got offered the latter instead of OP at Goldsmiths was because, of course, of the 2:2, but they felt this was better suited for me and that I could be a huge contribution to the course. I am wondering if this is so because this is a new course...

I would like to study at Goldsmiths since it's a better university, but I am confused as to whether to do the course I've always wanted to do at Birkbeck - or to take a risk and do a course at a better uni, and more business orientated which could potentitally help me in the long run.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.....

Re: MSc Occupational Psychology / MSc Leadership and Talent Management
I'm just finishing up my MSc in Occupational Psychology at Birkbeck now. Last year I applied to Birkbeck, City and Goldsmiths for this course and got offers from all of them. For me it was an easy chioce in the end to go with Birkbeck as I didn't like Goldsmiths campus and both they and City didn't do their admin properly which also put me off. (Search previous threads/posts on this topic and you will find the story there as I've already talked about it multiple times on thie forum.)

Birkbeck has a great reputation both as an intstitution and for this course itself. Do a basic search on LinkedIn for former graduates from this course and you'll see that many people work in really great organisations and roles after doing this degree!
