    Gym membership
Hopefully will be attending sussex uni next year and was wondering about joinging a gym. Does sussex have a dedicated gym for its students? I've had a look on the site but I'm not really interested in doing any of the courses, just want a straight forward gym membership. I know falmer is over the road but just curious? Also what sort of prices is a yearly membership?

I am pretty sure sussex has a dedicated gym, but I believe that the virgin gym across the road is a lot better.

So all fitness room activities have a cost? I'm from the US and I'm used to that being part of the tuition, we only pay for massage, things like that.

I would like to use the fitness machines, maybe take a class, but 130.00 seems like a lot. I will see.

I am from the US too! What part are you coming from? I go to the University of Washington, and am studying at Sussex only for the fall term. My school in the US includes it too but doesn't include fitness classes and those can be like $40 a quarter for one class. 130 honestly is not bad at all for a year including classes. That breaks down to like 15/month. If you find some place better let me know though!

I guess breaking it down it's not so bad. Figures when it was free, I barely used it, now I want too...: )
I'm from CT. Did you hear about residence yet?

Haha thats how it always is! Thats cool, my friend went to high school there! (ethel walker). No, I just applied the other day. They took forever to send the requests. Hopefully I get my top choice but going for only one quarter I think they aren't going to give out the best spots :/ Did you?

I'm not sure, but they were very slow with all my things. I had to write about my classes, they finally said they received my request but that's it. I got the housing about a week ago, sent it in as soon as I could.
From what they tell me, you are usually housed with freshman because older students have groups already but I was hoping to get in a place with older students in the same suite if possible.
