TSR photo competition
Welcome to the TSR photo competition!
In the past we ran a design competition, whereby a TSR member designed our TSR birthday logo - that was then used across the site and viewed by millions of users. That was hugely successful, so we want to do something similar with your photos!
In light of the new TSR homepage, we want to do something in a similar vein using member imagery alongside our own to be used in the 'pods' on the site (the rectangular boxes). Your images could be viewed by millions of unique users across the site. A credit to your work and your portfolio
The task is simple, check out the criteria and rules below and submit as many images as you wish. There can only be one winner, but you can enter as many times as you like
Just upload your pics to this thread by 30th July.
We're giving away a £20 Amazon voucher to the winner, and 2x £10 vouchers to runners up. Judging will be done by our in-house design team (the more creative of minds at TSR HQ
).
Criteria and rules
- The theme is 'real' images of everyday life, looking as real as possible – no posing! Even better if these are pictures of students or student life. These can be taken with a basic camera, we won't be judging your editing skills
- Work must be your own, and by submitting your photos you agree that these are your own
- Closing date: 30/07/2012
Any questions just shout.Last edited by CJ; 12-07-2012 at 17:09. -
Re: TSR photo competitionQuestion CJ. Are we allowed to submit more than 1?
Also you say the theme is 'real' image from everyday life? Can you go into any more detail as to what you're not looking for?
Here's my entry:
A 1970's single tier spiral car park, hidden amongst the back streets on Newcastle city centre.

A bee searching for pollen on a rare summers day.

Two friendly ducks coming to say hello / Two greedy ducks coming to steal my food!

More back streets of Newcastle.

Edit: Available in higher quality / bigger in size if needed!Last edited by Bleak Lemming; 10-07-2012 at 16:18. -
Re: TSR photo competitionI checked out your deleted post and that's fine - it appears larger when you click it.(Original post by RickReezi)

Re: TSR photo competition
Wow, some absolutely stunning photos in this thread. Here's a few from me - I'm certainly no professional photographer but I enjoy the moments. Some were taken in my hometown, a few others taken in London and Oxford.
*The cloud photo attached as a thumbnail wasn't supposed to be included, but I'm useless at this whole uploading thing so I'm afraid this post is a bit of a mess.

Re: TSR photo competitionthose are great, which film are you using?(Original post by Damask-)
Don't think I've seen any film photos on here so far, so here goes!
I have some fisheye photos, but they're mostly mates pulling faces haha -
Re: TSR photo competitionThanks! I can't remember which ones were from which rolls because I never stick to one kind of film but they're either Kodak Colour Plus, Kodak Max, Fujifilm Xtra or Fujifilm Superia, 200 or 400 ISO.(Original post by Samdude)

Re: TSR photo competition
Not sure if these photos are what you're looking for but I'll submit some anyway! I also don't have any photos stored on my laptop and I'm not technologically competent to make thumbnails of my flickr links. Sorry! But here
