    Exeter vs. Leeds vs. York
    Hi everyone,

I received offers from Exeter, Leeds (Uni of Leeds) and York for studying a postgraduate business/management programme but I am still not sure which one to choose. All of the unis are well ranked. Exeter has a really good reputation within the UK, Leeds is better in some international league tables and so on. I already compared their rankings and considered the programmes in principle. However, it would be nice when some of you could give me advice, own experiences etc.

I know that this kind of topic is not so popular and everyone has a different view. But maybe some views are helpful to me

    Thanks!

what I do expect? To be honest, thats a difficult question. I expect to learn something. That sounds strange perhaps but I went for one term to Nottingham Trent Uni and it was really disappointing. The students werent really motivated and the level was quite low.

After graduation I would like to work for a business consultancy or an investment bank (I already have worked in both areas).

For IB and the sort Exeter will provide you with the best prospects out of the 3. From experience, Exe students that study in the business school are really career-motivated so it's highly doubtful you'll be facing the same issues as at Nottingham Trent.

Exeter offers many opportunities to improve your employability. During the month of March alone, I went to 7 different workshops. In May they had an outside company give a mock interview and assessment exercise, followed up by a 6 page report and phone call(and I was only a first year student!) Exeter seems almost obsessive about helping their students find the best job.

Given your career aspirations, while still a hard run from any of the universities in question, I dare say the best of those is Exeter.

It depends on the type of University you want to go to.
Exeter is in the middle of nowhere, whereas Leeds is in the middle of a big city. York is somewhat of a halfway house, being on the edge of a small city.

I would say Leeds or York, just because they're more exciting and stimulating places to be.

I had the best time of my life this past year at Exeter. There is something going on virtually every single night. More things to do than you have time for.
