Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?You know whats really annoying? When you're hanging out with someone, and they are CONSTANTLY on their phone. Yet you know its not personal, because theres times when theyre constantly texting you when theyre chilling with someone else. I just dont understand why people are so addicted to virtual chatting!!!!(Original post by G_S)
Has anyone experienced this before.? Friend not replying to your texts but is/has been very active on facebook? I just don't understand these people. My friend was quite upset yesterday. She text a friend a few times to see how she was doing and she did not reply, nor answered her phone calls but made like 100 comments on facebook. I can't even say, maybe she didn't see, because that is just impossible. Or she didn't have time, clearly she did. I just don't understand why some people would give their time to strangers and treat others who think about them like crap.
Rant over. -
Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Texts cost money to reply to, and being a maybe unemployed student she's hoping one of the jobs she applied for will ring back.(Original post by G_S)

It's worse when people tweet off their phone rather than reply back to your text. -

Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?
Not being funny but I hardly use/know where my phone is when I'm at home. I usually just chuck it on the sofa and it ends up in the kitchen or down the side of my bed somehow, maybe could it be due to that?
And has your friends tried to facebook her when she is online on it? -
Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Worse, when they are on monthly and still don't text back.(Original post by pinkmonkey3)
I agree with this too, especially if the friend is upset and needs someone to talk to.
I tend to respond to people how they respond to me. So if they take a few days to get back to me, or ignore texts, I'll treat them the same way...
It also annoys me though if someone has no credit to text back, so ignores you, then you ring them and they say they had no money on their phone as an excuse - yet they're on facebook - just doesn't add up

Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Hi, that is not the point. point is she has time for strangers and not for my friend.(Original post by Carrby)
OP, I really don't understand, why does answering the phonHie seem to be so important to determining how strong the friendship is? -
Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?How do you know that the people she's interacting with on Facebook are 'strangers'? Surely if she's friends with them on Facebook then she must know them (even if only in passing?) in 'real' life?(Original post by G_S)

Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Yes. Doesn't matter how important they are to me, I always forget to text people back. It's not a big deal, chill.(Original post by G_S)
I see where your coming from..but if your friends were really important to you, would you forget, is what I am thinking.

Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Errmagerrd this is exactly how I feel. When my friends are on their phones when we're at someone's house, it's like(Original post by Carrby)
I value my friends, but not my phone. I'm not constantly checking my texts and phoning people. The idea of being in contact with them every waking second kind of irritates me. If I had a friend that sent a lot of texts and phoned a lot just to see how I'm doing I'd find that really clingy.
. I don't understand what there is to left to say when you exchange over 10 or so texts, but some girls seem to have SO MUCH to say.

Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Yeah! I think it's incredibly rude to expect people to reply within minutes. Some of us don't have our phones surgically attached to our hands! Some people are just so arrogant expecting all their friends to be at the edge of their seat waiting for the text to come. I've always liked Stephen Fry's explanation on an episode of QI; like barging into someone's house and saying "SPEAK TO ME NOW SPEAK TO ME NOW SPEAK TO ME NOW! I'M GOING TO MAKE A NOISE UNTIL YOU TALK TO ME!" OP is just coming across as a clingy fool in my honest opinion.(Original post by jamboogy)

Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?
I'm having a similar issue with my friend. Except it's not an issue. I texted her a few days ago and she hasn't replied. She has however spoken to other friends on FB. She has also spoken to me about an un-related topic on FB. I'm not bothered about the text. I'll ask her on FB to reply if it goes on too long. That will sort it.
If your friend uses a computer for FB and a phone for texting then what's the issue? They might be out of credit, lost their phone, out of battery etc.
You shouldn't be so insecure. Your friend still loves you just as much. -
Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Haha I think I've seen that episode before, but he's right. I recently told my friend that it's rude and pisses me off when she's on her phone around company; I honestly hope she listens to me. She argued that it's harsh to make people wait a few hours for a text back, but I'm just like, WTF?(Original post by Carrby)

Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Ughghgh. People need to get some more hobbies instead of staring at a phone screen, and like you say, take more interest in what people in front of them in their company are saying to their face rather than what their blackberry or iphone is beeping at them(Original post by jamboogy)

Re: Friend has time for facebook but not for you?Oh the irony; the attempt to be more social by texting loads makes you anti social by being glued to your phone whilst you are with friends. Although, could you really count texting as a hobby...?(Original post by Carrby)
