Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable? So it is ok to racially abuse millionaire footballers who are black?(Original post by rockrunride)
What, because a millionaire is being called "ginger"?
I agree, far too much to handle. -
Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable?Double standards, Suarez should have had a 3 year ban.(Original post by Jim-Jam)
Double standards, should be given an 8 match ban.

Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable? No, where did I say that?(Original post by TRS-T)
So it is ok to racially abuse millionaire footballers who are black? -
Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable?Nope.(Original post by SandyN)
As bad as racism? Oh dear lord. Never attend a football game, would be my only advice.
This is banter. Nothing more, nothing less.
I have a question though, which could explain the thread. Are you ginger?
It's just double standards.
Let's imagine that Alex McLeish is black.
The Blues fans sing "The blackie is yours" and "Black tw@t m'Lord"
There would be uproar. -
Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable?(Original post by Marshyy)
All that's wrong with modern football fans. You're happy to show 'frustration' towards your own team and are probably the first to boo, but are vehemently against any sort of chanting towards the opposition, even like this one which is obviously a light hearted joke.
Don't worry Marshyy is ignorant to say his comment. You are right, no need to swear.(Original post by TheBallWinner)
If your side aren't putting in a shift, you're fine to vent imo. Whenever I'm sat in Anfield and the side are looking woeful, I have a right to facepalm...
I don't see a point in swearing and shouting skinhead abuse at other travelling fans / players though, I pay to see the players I support and team I love. Light hearted jokes to players are ok, Lampard's played along with the kop on an occasion or two and had a laugh back.

Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable? That right there would be racism from yourself.(Original post by TRS-T)
Nope.
It's just double standards.

Hair colour and skin colour are completely different.
Thus why there's no organisations called 'show gingerism the red card'.
Lighten up buddy! -
Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable?I must of missed the 'ginger slavery' years.(Original post by TRS-T)

Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable? Not really.(Original post by SandyN)
Hair colour and skin colour are completely different.
They are both physical characteristics which you are born with. -
Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable? So you were around for the black slavery years?(Original post by L18)

Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable?Haha, so you're just a general troll then? Shall keep that in mind.(Original post by TRS-T)

Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable?Nothing morally wrong with it at least, it's a ****e chant though!(Original post by DaveSmith99)
Nothing wrong with it. -
Re: Is this kind of chanting acceptable?Ginger people do not have a history of being persercuted, enslaved and killed for the colour of their hair.(Original post by TRS-T)
So you were around for the black slavery years?
So I don't see how its comparable to racism.
