Also, just an addition to my previous post (which hasn't showed up yet, but I'm assuming that's because anon posts are screened?) - I also at first thought it was just a phase. But five years later, and he's still just the same, from what I've heard. Regardless of how respectable a religion is in itself, people are flawed and will misinterpret things or be overzealous - this guy was definitely the overzealous type, and it sounds like your boyfriend may be similar.

He told me different. He told me that Mohammed married Aisha because she was a pubescent child. He said that her parents agreed to let him marry her and she wanted to have sex with him aged 9. I was like fair enough, in that time period but that can't be justified in this day and age. He went on to say that if Mohammed had sex with Aisha back then then it is justfied in todays world. He siad that he would marry a pubescent child if she was pretty. I got so angry at what he said that i actually think hes a paedophile. Sex with children is WRONG!!!!

What about the whole dog thing. Doesn't it say in the quran that dogs are dirty?

He has 2 dogs. His excuse is that they are guard dogs. They're the friendliest dogs anyone would ever meet so he's making dumb excuses. smh.

He keeps claiming it as the truth with the quran as his evidence and he's baffled as to why i belive its true, because to me the quran isn't the truth.

He probably means you got yourself in a situation where well it was very easy for boy to rape you.
I am not saying you deserved it.

But for example if a girl goes into a empty house or room somewhere with a boy, and he raped her. She sort of gave him the "chance" to do it.
Although the boy is the one that should be punished because hes the scumbag.

People do convert overnight, it's very common.
Islamic literature does in fact reveal the age of Muhammad's child bride, and does indeed state that the marriage was consummated while she was of the age that would today make us consider him a paedophile.
Muslims do follow the words of a paedophile. Unfortunate, but true nevertheless. Doesn't mean they should necessarily be paedophiles too. I'm an avid appreciator of Sam Harris, doesn't mean I'm going to start meditating.
Most religions say very little or nothing about child abuse and child rape. Most of them even encourage child abuse in some cases- remember this gem from the Bible? "Spare the rod, spoil the child"?
