    Which tablet for school books?
Due to budgetary constraints my options are limited to a Kindle (the XL is a tad bit too expensive), Kindle fire, Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7" or an iPAD 2 9,7".. and since I need a new phone also, there's the wild card option of combining both of my needs in a Samsung Galaxy Note (5,3").

Questions that are on my mind (I've never owned a tablet before):
    - Does the Kindle convert PDF images acceptably well? Illustrations (not photographic) play a large part in my school books (medical).
    - Does the Kindle fire bring anything to the table the Samsun Galaxy tab 2 wouldn't? (for me they are priced about the same (Finland))
    - Is paying 100 euros extra for the iPAD2 reasonable just for a larger screen (as far as I can tell this is the only difference, or is it?)
    - Does anyone have experience reading books on the Galaxy Note, or would the smaller screen size get into one's way?

Just for the sheer volume of good medical apps available for the iPad I would recommend that. I pretty much learnt all my first year anatomy from it.

iOS is the single best operating system for textbooks, hands down. iBooks has become the biggest platform for selling eBooks, it has access to Amazon's library of Kindle books, and has a multitude of other apps like Inkling.
