    Copper coil - Acne\weight gain?
    Does anyone know how could the copper coil possibly lead to weight gain or acne considering it does not contain any hormones?
    I just had mine fitted today and am worried about those side effects.
    I´ve also stopped taking The Pill which I have been taking for just under 3 years.

    Any advice welcome

    The copper coil shouldnt, the Mirena coil can. Copper coil most commonly causes menorrhagia (heavy periods) as a s/e.
