Caught smoking cannabis
Hi, i didn't really know where to put this thread. I'm really worried and concern. I still go to school and I'm 15. I'm not an average student, I've had several bad things I have done, but only back chatting teachers, being rude. I've been excluded twice for both 2 days for one being violent and the other for massive disruption, resulting in the whole class being removed. I also smoke weed fairly regularly. I spend only £20 a week. On Tuesday, 15 I brought 7 joints into school to smoke as it was sports day. Sport days was cancellened, therefore still have a lot of joints left.
During the day I went of site for a fag and they searched me but the bud was down my pants. After school I was waiting for the late bus with my friend and decided to smoke one. Two boys heard and can along out the back with us. We sparked it up and started smoking it obviously passing it around. 3 teachers walked out the back and saw us, and told us to go away. We went back in and All the teachers started staring.
The next day, I have an hour long conversation with a teacher and as everyone else had told them, I had to admit it. Now, I've got done for possession, smoking and supplying. I've been excluded for 5 days to start with but they can still investigating it. My friend, brought half the weed and had possesion of it during the day to but only today has admitted it, and also been excluded. I don't want to be kicked out as I only have one more year left and they also said I'm one to support as I have fairly good grades B's and A's. I'm scared. Are the going to kick me out, or what punishment? Will all the teacher find out about this?
Thanks. -
Re: Caught smoking cannabis
Its very probable most schools have taken a tougher stance on illegal drugs lately, at least all the ones ive been to gave anyone caught with weed on them the boot straight away.
The fact you have a poor track record at the school probably isnt going to help your case though, all you can do is sit and wait for the best ... might be worth writing them some soppy email/letter begging for forgiveness and all that crap though, cant hurt after all. -
Re: Caught smoking cannabisYou're smoking pot at 15, you're not an adult, your a kid, and you're smoking that much pot? Being excluded, or even receiving an education, is the least of your problems mate.(Original post by Anonymous)

Re: Caught smoking cannabisI think you'd have got away with possesion, but if someone else has snitched that you were 'supplying' them it could get serious as it is the suppliers they are looking to catch really. I don't know what your school or teachers are like, but I would trying communicating with them in whatever way seems appropiate (letter, meeting etc) that you are very apologetic for what you did, and did not ever intend to supply them but got caught up in the moment and gave one to a friend without thinking.(Original post by Anonymous)

The other thing to look at is whether you think you have a "problem" per se with cannabis. I've never somked it myself, but from what I've heard seven joints in a day is pretty serious. If you think you might be addicted, ask to be put on some type of rehabilitation program or to speak to a councillar of some sort - it will really help you if you want to kick the habit (although it is for you to judge whether it is worth the health and legal risks), and will not do any harm to your chances of not being excluded.
Whatever happens, it is almost certain all the teachers and your parents/guardians will find out if they haven't already, so make sure you're prepared for that. And if you do decide not to kick the habit, be a bit more discreet next time, and certainly don't do it in this school again! -
Re: Caught smoking cannabis
The writing a letter idea is good. Run with it. Say that you're looking to go to uni to study to become a doctor or something: convince them that you have real goals that an adult can appreciate as sensible and viable. Maybe all you rbad behaviour since the start is part of your personality, you can add that you'regoing through some rough things at home and the whole thing was a big mistake that you hope to learn from.
Getting B's and A's like you do you could even add that you enjoy school and learning and that you realize what an idiot you've been and that you just need a chance to clean your act up.
Obviously if this ploy works you are actually going to clean your act up. Verily and absolutely. -
Re: Caught smoking cannabisHe's not THAT young to be smoking it and physiologically it probably doesn't make a whole lot of difference whether he's 18 or 15. Weed is nowhere near as bad for you as tobacco or alcohol and most kids at my school were smoking and drinking at 15. It's really not uncommon for a 15 yr old to regularly smoke cannabis. I'm not encouraging it because obviously it's better not to smoke anything or drink alcohol for that matter and it is illegal at 15. I'm just saying... no need to over react. It's not heroin.(Original post by Raiden10)

Re: Caught smoking cannabis
You managed to get 7 spliffs out of £20 worth of bud? They must be peckered!
Anyway, judging by the complete inability to structure a coherent sentence, I would suggest you stop smoking all together and start making some effort in school.
Also, don't be stupid and take illegal drugs into school! Secondly, i'm guessing the school has thrown these fancy "intent to supply" sentences at you, not the police, as £20 worth of bud is not even close to being enough to get done for intent to supply. You're under 16, if police are involved this will be wiped in 5 years from your record. Stop being a dick. -
Re: Caught smoking cannabissame reason you couldn't help yourself going on about it. You think you know best, as though there is an empirically agreed quantity or marijuana smoking technique.(Original post by hvh)
Why is everyone going on about £20 worth of bud being ALOT? -
Re: Caught smoking cannabisIs that even possible with those charges? And tbh, nothing more would piss me off than if a guy like OP got accepted into a medical school.(Original post by JessaminePoppy)

Re: Caught smoking cannabisDefine "bad for you". The bit where weed is worse (the brain) unfortunately is the only one you can't remake. I wouldn't recommend heavy drinking or any smoking at 15 either. At age 15 moderate alcohol won't do any harm, if you have to do one of them.(Original post by littleone271)

"It's not uncommon", "Most kids at my school"... where did I say that I give a damn what kids at your school do? -
Re: Caught smoking cannabisIf he's got the grades and the motivation... I don't think drug charges of possession can stop an application to any university. And if he plays a kind of reformed bad boy who just wanted to try, it could be resolved.(Original post by fnm)
Is that even possible with those charges? And tbh, nothing more would piss me off than if a guy like OP got accepted into a medical school.
I'm guessing no matter what the sob story is, OP's going to have to assume a ton of responsibility and have a hard time getting anyone (establishment...etc) to defend him if he slips up. -
