    Student Finance for Year Abroad
Hello, for my year abroad I'm working in Paris from 3rd Sept until 28th June. Obviously this start is early in comparison to when university starts and I will require student finance earlier if I want to have any sort of life. My student finance does say that I will receive my first instalment of my loan on the 20th August but I want to make sure that I will genuinely receive it then because otherwise I'll be in a bit of trouble

Would be good to hear from somebody who went abroad last year or if anybody can say if I will definitely receive it then or if I'll get it at normal time at the end of Sept?

    Thanks x

As long as you have provided student finance with your term dates for your time abroad, that is when you will be paid. You can get these dates changed PROVIDING you get proof from your host university saying you will be starting/present on the date you wish to get it changed to. But yeah, you'll get paid on the date it says on your details online.

    Quick Question,

Sorry don't know where else to post this.

The year abroad programme at UCL is a Masters, if you don't get a position at a university abroad/choose in your second year not to go. Can you still do the 4 year Masters degree at UCL.

    Many thanks,

    D
