Am I entitled to anything else?
I am going to be doing a nursing degree at UWE in September, and I have applied for a student loan, and the NHS bursary..although am I entitled to anything else? As student finance earlier said that I only get the minimum amount of loan as I'm doing an NHS course, and household income doesn't get taken into account :/ this doesn't even cover my rent!!!! And the money from the bursary will help pay my rent but only leave me a tiny amount to live on :/ any help/advice would be brilliant! Thanks

Re: Am I entitled to anything else?
I previously studied an NHS nursing course at UWE. I only completed the first year tho before leaving. Being a single parent I thought that I would be able to get more help but the only thing I was entitled to was the NHS bursary and the tuition fees. Others on my course got a bursary from uni but that was because they were studying diplomas. As I was doing a degree I was told I was not eligible for the university bursary. I'd double check tho.

NHS-funded students are only eligible for fees to be paid, a non-income assessed student loan from Student iFinance, an income assessed NHS bursary and a £1000 NHS grant.
