Re: Most embarressing day of my life today!well dont that is quite inspirational!(Original post by 333allicsirp)
When I was in year 8 we had just started the 800m race when this girl fell down, I tripped and didn't fall down, but my trainer came off so I had to go back for it, then I just lost all motivation came last.
But it wasn't as bad as it could have been - people thought that when I went back to get my shoe I was going to check on the girl who had fallen down, and she even came to thank me and say how nice it was of me to check she was okay (which I wasn't doing but hey ho
) and then I went on to win the 100m race

Re: Most embarressing day of my life today! That happened to me also on sports day (this was about 10 years ago though). I remember the shock of falling, then hearing a massive roar of laughter from the stadium.(Original post by Bluebubbles123)
Today for me was so embarressing. I had been nervous for doing hurdles at sports day for weeks and today was the day. I bet you can guess what happened...
I was in first place but then tripped over the hurdle and fell flat on my face. In front of the whole school. It hurt so bad and if it wasn't for that fall I could have won.
Now I am just pigging out on ice cream for comfort!
Did you get up and finish the race regardless, Cool Runnings style?

Re: Most embarressing day of my life today!I don't think you were meant to take it seriously.. it's just in reference to all of the grammar and spelling Nazis on here :P I do feel sorry for you though, at least it is the summer holidays coming up and everyone should hopefully forget about it!(Original post by Bluebubbles123)
So you are going to patronise me for my poor spelling? -
Re: Most embarressing day of my life today!Last time I checked, they don't do 5000m hurdles(Original post by Ladyliesel)
I feel your pain. Just remember that in the long run you'll get over it. In a week, a month, a year, students at your school will see so many silly things that it won't be important. Just laugh along with anyone who gives you grief. It's a great excuse to eat ice cream so it's not so bad

Re: Most embarressing day of my life today!
Don't feel bad about it...sports day and P.E bring back bad memories for me too. One time, in high school, we were doing the bleep test and I literally tripped over thin air and landed straight on my face.
I'm so glad I'm at college now though and I never have to suffer another P.E. lesson ever again!

Re: Most embarressing day of my life today!Haha thanks(Original post by Bluebubbles123)
well dont that is quite inspirational!
I think me and the girl who fell are probably the only people who remember that little mishap, and even so, I only remembered it when I read yours, so don't be too embarrassed - you'll be over it soon and so will everyone else

Re: Most embarressing day of my life today!
It is not the fall that is embarrassing. It is the getting up bit. Everyone falls 'the same' (well no, but you'll understand in a moment), but everyone has their own choice on how to get up and react to it. If you reacted badly, then you deserve the embarrassment, if not, then you're fine.

Re: Most embarressing day of my life today! You're 100% right. I am not sure if I reacted badly or not. I got up and carried on running to the finish, but then I started crying!(Original post by siwelmail)

Re: Most embarressing day of my life today!
The most embarrassing day of my life was when I slipped into a MASSIVE puddle in front of all the popular people in highschool. I have no idea what they were doing all together on that day, but god was it torture.
It was raining insanely and it made those huge puddles. I was wearing loafers on that day and they have little to no grip. This moron came from behind me and thought it would be hilarious to shove me thinking I could stop myself from falling in.....well you know what happens next, I was waddling like a fish in that thing and I can just see them all standing on top of me.
The funny thing is though, this gorgeous girl helped me up and I'll never forget what she said, she said,"don't worry ***** , it'll happen to all of us one day"
) and then I went on to win the 100m race
