    fee help confusion help please
I have never done a degree before or any modules towards one. Will I have to pay around 15grand for one now or is there any way I can get the lower 4-5grand option 'sneakyl' for computing and IT?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

Transitional (i.e. cheaper) fees are only available to people who've already started with the OU; anyone starting out from here on in is on the new fees. (That's assuming you live in England - is moving to Scotland an option?) You'd be able to get loans to cover your fees, though, so you wouldn't have to pay anything upfront.

I will be doing open uni but I am going to take out a part time student loan so that may be an option you could consider!

It's worth bearing in mind that the deal with tuition fee loans is pretty good - it doesn't count against you for other things (e.g. mortgages), you don't have to pay it back 'til you're earning over a certain level, and so on.

That will depend on your mortgage provider. Halifax for example reduced the amount they would loan my partner and I based on my outstanding student loan.
