Does the weather in England depress you.......?
Its supposed to be the middle of summer, all it has done is rain for weeks, cant remember the last time we had proper sunshine......3 months ago was it? We wait all year for the summer and this is what we get, lol. 4 more weeks of rain forecast ahead, time to emigrate?

Only when it's hot. Hot weather in England is horrible.. muggy, uncomfortable and a hayfever sufferer's nightmare.

Nope, I love it. It would be nice to have a bit more Sun but there's nothing we can do, so enjoy it or move to Spain! :borat:

I annoys me when the sun comes out I go to change in to T-shirts and shorts; and I come out in to the garden then it rains for 15 mins. And so the cycle continues all day. I wouldn't care if it was torrential rain all day, tbh I quite like it or really hot all day; but the constant change every 20 mins pisses me off.

That's not even it. I wouldn't really mind straight rain for days... at least I can plan ahead and be sure not to go out and screw myself. The problem is when it's incredibly sunny, then rains, then is sunny again. That really sucks.

I always have something to complain about. It's a really tired conversation starter but it still works

Really? You mean to say in the summer you would prefer rain to sun? I am boggled

It always rains at this time or year and being consistently hot during spring and autumn. This is why I'm loving going to uni in Bournemouth because sod's law declares that the best weather happens while you're in education. So we go to the beach on our days off.

At least it's better than 100ºF and drought across the US this summer.

I don't mind it usually, but it's been silly this past week.

Just today, for example. 22 degrees and sunny. Wonderful, I potter out all summery. Five minutes later it's pissing it down with rain and really windy.

I quite like the rain and absolutely hate it when it's hot, so the rain itself I don't mind. It's when it changes so drastically within the space of 10 minutes.

There are worse places to live for the weather, plus the UK is lucky in that it doesn't have a high threat of natural disasters like volcano eruptions, earthquakes, hurricanes, bush fires. (although flooding is a downside)

But yes, it is pretty depressing when you can't plan ahead and rain in July!

I would prefer that. Heavens forbid we actually get some sun in summer, no wonder everyone is depressed in this country. Then you look ahead, before you know it, we'll be back to 8 hours of daylight and freezing cold

My mood is ridiculously dictated by the weather.
I've been feeling pretty grim recently, bar an hour today when I saw the sun.

I like seasons to be proper seasons. Cold winter, mild spring perhaps with some showers, hot summer, and cool rainy/foggy autumn.

This weather we're having at the moment is rubbish.

Not everyone likes hot weather! I quite like the rain and it definitely doesn't depress me.

    Yes, I would.

Why would I want to be sweaty, uncomfortable, constantly sneezing, drained of energy and unable to sleep?

What boggles me is how so many British people incessantly moan about the rain and cold and then a couple of days into a heatwave sit on the sofa in their pants fanning themselves with the TV Times complaining that they're "sick of this heat."
