it's not like she was secretly taking them to perv on me later, i don't see how taking the pic is creepy, it was just harmless memory capturing fun.
That bit was a bit of jest, I know it can be difficult to tell sometimes...
Hmm... The use of the word 'harmless' kind of answers your own question in my eyes :awesome:

If it's an issue then ask them to be taken down and if not, then happy days!

I can understand where you're coming from, i wouldn't want pics like that on facebook either. I think the only thing you can do is ask your friend to take the photos down again. If she still says no all you can do is de-tag and remove it from your profile.

..I'm sure there must be some kind of law stating you can't post pictures of people without their permission...it's a bit harsh...especially if you aren't fully clothed and don't feel comfortable ....even at popular events/ fairs etc you have to give them permission to use your face in newspapers

    There isn't.

Honestly, the number of people today who believe completely erroneously that you have the right not to have your photo taken in a public place these days, or any sort of ownership or control over images with you in that somebody else has taken.

You don't have to give your permission for someone to use a picture they have taken, whether that's to use your picture in the newspaper or any other purpose.

How else do you think the paparazzi are able to get away with publishing pictures of royals and celebrities who don't want to be splashed over the front pages of the red tops?

Well although I doubt men are using them as ****ing material (which is what has been suggested here - seriously, they could find more explicit pictures under 5 seconds if they searched) I think it's weird having bikini pictures up, especially if they were just random shots of you in a bikini and not actually doing anything worth documenting :/

I think the fact that it was just you by the pool not posing is fine, I dont see an issue with it. I think girls who pose in the mirror with their phone taking photos then put up the pics with the 'Omg so ugly but had to get a profile pic Lol' status are attention seeking you are not, your on holiday who cares what others think !
