    Re: Global Fat Scale
Apparently I have a BMI of 22, closest to a Nigerian. A BMI of 22 is lower than China's average of 23.7, where my parents are from. I don't know how I have a lower BMI, when I consumer a typical British diet as well.

I was always under the impression that BMI is completely flawed, it pays no regard to muscle mass
very true, however if you are worried about your weight, it wont be because of too much muscle! (to get enough muscle to be 'obese' you need to exercise a lot!)

Also, my BMI is 20, almost certainly not due to muscle, more a lack of!

    17bmi

You have a lower BMI than 97% of females aged 15-29 in your country

You have a lower BMI than 85% of females aged 15-29 in the world

    Vietnam. Lovely.
    17! Impressive.....

(should point out that Vietnam is one of those Asian countries, along with its neighbours, where a majority of the population eats a diet which is very close to vegetarian)

    I'm 5'8" which is 1.72m. 9 stone is 57.1526kg, giving you a BMI of 19.3 apparently
Yup, the BBC website gave me a BMI of 19. I think I'm more 5'7.5" to be honest, but I just round up that spare centimetre

Impressive? Anything under 18.5 is considered underweight rather than being a healthy weight that you should strive to achieve. Lower isn't always better!

Meh, I've always been skinny. When I stop being able to run 5k in 17 minutes, and stop 40k tt in 1:10 then I'll start worrying that I'm not healthy.

I just don't like unhealthy food, or loads of food and I love sport. 7 days a week tbh. I was brought up in a really healthy family, both my parents are very competitive age-groupers for triathlon and my lil bro is getting there.

You don't have to justify yourself, I'm not getting at you; just pointing out to the user who said it was "impressive" that it's not always better to weigh less that's all!

My BMI is only 1 point out of the healthy range and i'm currently losing weight, but "If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would add 31,780,608 tonnes to the total weight of the world's population" that's not a fun thing to read! *regrets going to website*

BMI 21 & most like someone from Romania! Lower BMI that 81% of females here, which seems pretty dubious but I'm pleased anyways.

In the UK and have a BMI of 23.

I have a lower BMI than 73% of males aged 15-29 in my country.

I have a higher BMI than 55% of males aged 15-29 in the world.

If everyone in the world had the same BMI as me, it would remove 11,163,863 tonnes from the total weight of the world's population

I'm like a 15-29 year old male from Turkey.

    BMI 20
You have a lower BMI than 87% of females aged 15-29 in your country
You have a lower BMI than 64% of females aged 15-29 in the world
You're most like someone from Japan*
    * Compared with other females aged 15-29 in Japan
Now I also don't totally believe in BMI as 'foolproof', or even a necessarily very accurate measure of obesity on the 'global fat scale'.
 Mine is exactly the same as yours.
