Re: what are the stupidest transfer rumours you have ever heard?
I created a rumour where RVP was to join Man City at the end of January this year with a housemate. We lived with three Arsenal fans, so wanted to see their reaction. We used that Sky Sports 'create-a-transfer' page they had, as well as another page which I can't remember.
Two of them didn't buy it, but one of them left the house for 7 hours in a rage. -
Re: what are the stupidest transfer rumours you have ever heard? He's 30! He's at his peak, having just had possibly his best ever season, and will decline in a couple of years (so no resale value), but wouldn't say he's "old" yet. Though I take your general point, perhaps more so given my refutation of him being "old".(Original post by xDave-)
The Thiago Silva & Zlatan bid from PSG for €65m, especially when Milan rejected €45m for Silva alone. That means Milan value Silva at, let's say, at least €50m, which means Ibra is only €15m. He's old and all, but really? And it could be even less than that.
But apparently that's really happening now, go figure. Surprised City haven't tired to intervene. -

Ronaldinho was linked to Villa once. I've always hung onto it, in the hope one day it might come true.. -

Summer 2008: It said in "The Sun"
that Kaka was sold to Man City for £175m. The Sun is so ****ing ****, its unbelievable

There was a rumour earlier this year (the date escapes me for the moment) that Portugal would sell Ronaldo to Spain to ease the debts it was incurring due to the Euro-crisis.
Portugal 'sells' Ronaldo to Spain in £160m deal on national debt
