Petition to do something about the weather
A Petition to Her Majestys Government to sort out this weather, for the good of this nation and her citizens this rain is ruining many potential BBQs, making dressing a constant dilema as one can never be sure if itll be rainy or sunny! something must be done!

I have to be honest and say that I don't like the smell from barbecues. If there is one thing I hate it is putting the washing out and then having to take it down because of the next door neighbours barbecue.

The weather is natural. This petition is pointless.

At least one summer has to be the wettest on record, but that doesn't make it unnatural. Not that I'm defending the Morgsmeister. :pierre:

Why don't you just check the weather? Numerous services provide hourly local temperature and precipitation readings.

Another pointless petition. This should be allowed to go no further. And before anyone says this is humour based this isn't remotely amusing.

It's not amusing and it's not even remotely clever. It's also wasting the time of everyone here that actually takes this place serious and prefers not to have silly proposals.

The weather has got worse under the coalition government of the current MHofC- next you'll be calling for their resignation!

I'd have preferred a petition for all broadcasters to have proper meteorologists read the weather forecast not blonde autocuties.

I'm not taking offence I just think that you're wasting everyone's time with your barrage of silly petitions. And "tounge in cheek" is supposed to be at least partially amusing or clever, this is not. Petitions were created more for people who aren't in or associated with the MHoC, it gives them an idea of how things work and maybe interests them enough to join. What you're doing is just abusing it and it's lame. Do everyone a favour and knock it off.

I suggest we create a giant umbrella to cover the whole nation. Who's with me?

Can we try to make petitions more meaningful?

Have a look at the real life Government's petitions website: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/

These should be the pressing issues that we should begin to discuss, or find a way to make our petitions from non-MPs more like this.
