Petitions were created more for people who aren't in or associated with the MHoC, it gives them an idea of how things work and maybe interests them enough to join. You quite clearly are taking offence fair enough you didn't find it amusing no need to get so wound up over it though? And as for this 'barrage of silly petitions' please this is my first petition and its by no means the worst so I really don't get why you're taking such offenif it makes any difference I apologise and it won't happen again.

I'm really not taking offence. You would really have to try a lot harder to offend me. I'm simply fed up of meaningless petitions. That isn't why they were brought in.

These should be the pressing issues that we should begin to discuss, or find a way to make our petitions from non-MPs more like this.

Not putting this one to vote and will probably close other joke petitions early. Methinks if we start allowing outsiders to submit joke petitions, the system could easily become unmanageable.
