Finding an exam center for a level private candidate
I've found an exam center close to me which would be ideal to do my science practicals and exams at, just wondering what kind of things i should put in the email to the exams officer at that school?

Will they want GCSE results, why im not doing them at a college/ am entering privately or do they not really care?

    Any help is appreciated, charz

You are just buying a service from them, they will not care at all what other qualifications you have. All they will need is your money, your details (full name, date of birth, unique candidate identifier (UCI), unique learner number (if you have one) and details of exactly which units you want to take and when.

You see very confident that they will accept you for science practicals - there are only about 10 centres in the country that do this and then not always for every awarding body. I suggest you talk to them asap to confirm they can take you for everything (a lot of exams officers aren't paid to be there in school holidays) you hope and start looking elsewhere if they can't.

What reason would i have for not being confident? If i want to do my A levels this way and i keep at it everything will eventually work itself out, there is no reason for me to doubt it this early. Thanks for the reply anywho

The poster meant because not alot of schools/colleges accept private candidates for science practical, particularly if their establishment does not offer it to their students. It's too much of a ball ache to get sorted and invigilized, for 1-2 students who are not their own.

Do you mind telling me the name and place of this school please and do you know what fees are involved here.
