How can i achieve light ash brown hair? I have tried so much and it seems to be the most difficult hair colour to achieve! My natural hair colour is a dark almost black type of brown, I have dyed my hair light brown countless times, i dyed it black for a while and wanted to remove this black so i used scott cornwall colour b4 and it went RED!!!! so i dyed it brown about 4 times in the space of a year and its still quite brassy from the colour b4, especially under sunlight, i recently got a highlight kit which comes with an overall brown hair colour which smelled of perocide and slightly lifted the colour of my hair but its still brassy!!! i can still see red undertones, even after using scott cornwall cool ash brown orange remover thingy, what else can i do to remove the brasiness and achieve light ash brown hair like the picture below?

Um, seems like you've done a lot to your hair. Maybe let it rest a while? Any dyes with 'ash' in the name should help put some better tones in, otherwise it might be best to go to the hairdressers who can put a toner/peroxide solution on your hair to lessen the red tones.

Put some brown hair dye in it, and then set it on fire

I think if you want to go lighter you have to bleach it first and then dye it. I might be mistaken as I've only ever gone darker but I'm sure I heard that from someone.
