What would you do if you were invisible for a day?

Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day?OMG have you not read the Harry Potter books? When boys try and get into the female Gryffindor dormitory, the staircase turns into a slide so that Harry and Ron slide down and can't get up. Ron demands to know why girls can go into boys' dormintories but boys can't go into girls' and is informed that its because the founders of Hogwarts thought girls were more trustworthy than boys.(Original post by Clip)
?? That's why he'd need a Cloak of Invisibility to get in there for some teenaged peeping tommery.
Or are we suspending disbelief to the extent that invisibility doesn't extend to warding spells?
The stairs would still turn into a slide even if Harry was wearing the cloak of invisibility. -
Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
I would shave the heads and eyebrows of the most self obsessed girls in my school, just because.
Also, I would got to a primary school and pick up a small child while they are all in assembly, rotate him a few times, put him/her down, wait for an article about the next Jesus to appear in the Daily Mail. -
Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day?I don't want to get into a Harry Potter debate - but how do you know that? How do you know that whatever warding they have on the staircase can detect invisibility? In the fiction Harry Potter can get into all sorts of restricted areas of the place with all kinds of secret objects hanging around - and these places for some reason have poorer security than the girls' dorms?(Original post by Super Cicero)

Additionally, only the staircase is described as being warded. We're talking about teenage boys in a boarding school with a cloak of invisibility - they are going to find a way. They've got flying broomsticks, for crying out loud - get invisible and fly through a window. -
Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
Obviously the first thing you'd do is wake up really early so you have more of the day, hmm then something slightly perrrrrrrvy, famous men's showers mm mm, then revenge on people i hate, then when invisibility is just about to wear off go to a news channel sit on top of the desk when there live and when the invisibility wears off scare everybody watching and proclaim something about being a prophet sent from 'up above' cos then you know PAYDAY from then on, people wanting to talk to you, get predictions from you, interviews etc then i'd be set for life.

Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
Go to Vauxhall, go to the MI6 building. Show them my cloak of invisibility, then ask them whether they want me for any short-term mission. Become a spy for a day. Or fly to Iran and/or Syria and kill their heads of state/government. Or rob a bank.

Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day?Stash it in 'nature's pocket'.(Original post by danny111)
Like a bag full of money floating in the air wouldn't be noticed. -
Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day?Well, terrorize is still accurate in the English language. It is a common misconception that -ise is reserved purely for British English. Both -ize and -ise are acceptable in English. Although, in every day speech we tend to use -ise, -ize has been used for several hundred years, and is still preferred by the Oxford English Dictionary:(Original post by ipoop)
Pardon me sir,
I do not mean to be a turd but, I believe the word should 'Terrorise' and not the way of which you have spelt it(Americanism).

Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
I'd go find an office with 2 people sitting next to each other and start tapping one of them on the shoulder. I'd take it way too far till the guy gets pissed off and a fight occurs.
After that I'd go find someone I dislike and haunt them. I'd start switching on the tv, opening cupboards etc right in front of them but of course they wouldn't see me due to the invisibility. Naturally if they call anyone else to witness I'd stop the haunting just to be a b*stard.
To finish the day off I'd go find a jewelers with CCTV pick up a load of watches wave them around in front of the camera whilst invisible and stroll out with them just to make the news

I'd probably forget that I had been given invisibility and go to work and have major panic when noone can see me but can feel me and hear me. Then after I realised I would go to the produce aisle and make the veg go crazy, so people naturally think god is annoyed at vegans, and then I'd just go for walk around places you never see if it's not your work. Like restaurant kitchens and also all the shops that make big signs that say staff only no unauthorised personnel. Just to feel like I have rebelled.
