Debit Card Blocked - Need Money!
My Debit card got blocked because 02 tried to take my bill and for some reason was declined despite having the funds in there.

I'm now in a position where I urgently need money but I don't have internet or telephone banking, so I can't transfer my money to my mums account.

Obviously I can't use my card at a local cash machine, and the local Barclays branch is closed.

I've spoke to both the telephone and internet team, and they have declined my request to transfer money purely because I am not registered for them. I've been through security with them and they still wont let me. It's ridiculous, I just want my money.

What do you think my chances are of transferring some money across to my mums account if asked to speak to someone higher up like a supervisor/manager via telephone, with it being an emergency situation?

They blocked your card due to a direct debit? your card should be fine ive never heard of a card getting barred for that if anything itll be your account thats had a hold placed on it but regardless this is quite an odd situation i havent heard of before aside from going into a branch on monday morning and asking them to fix it there you should be able to do it over the phone even if you dont have phone banking just try ringing their main switch board and if they keep on gyping you off demand to speak to the manager ... they can usually get it done better or it provokes the dip**** on the phone to do it instead of getting rollocked later
