Applications: BA and Foundations in Art and Design
Hello! I'm a little bit confused, since I'm not sure about how should I apply to foundations in Art and Design. Here is what UCAS says
"Applications for art foundation courses should be made direct to the university or college in which you are interested (the institution will supply its own application form)".
It means that we can apply to 5 uni courses and independently, to an unlimited number of foundation years (directly to the university where they are helded). Am I right? Could I apply to BA and Foundation at the same uni? Thank you!

Most Foundation courses you apply straight to the uni, but some foundation years are included in the BA, and in this case you apply through UCAS.

I'm not sure about whether or not you can apply to BA's and Foundations at the same univeristy though- I'd quite like to know myself!

Yes, you can apply through UCAS for 5 degree courses and as many art foundation courses as you can be bothered to fill in the forms for. How an application for both at the same university would be dealt with is really down to the admissions tutors, but in practice, most art degrees will prefer you to have done a foundation course and you will be competing against many students who have done one, so the likelihood is that you'd be offered the foundation course over the degree. No harm in trying, though.
