    Lunge depth
I'm still not flexible enough to do squats past parallel without my lower back hurting, so I'm going to try doing lunges in the mean time. Need to get back into decent leg training. What's the consensus on depth? Obviously with squats its go past parallel, wondering if there's anything similar for lunges.

I find lunges tough on the knees. Go easy.

I don't know much about lunges as an exercise, but I'd say, common sense dictates go as deep as you feel comfortable. Deep ROM is always good, so long as its not damaging and painful. I never believed in it for squats, but I think in lunges, it is important and pertinent to not let your knees go beyond your toes.

Tbh given how lunges are truly an up/down exercise, it might actually be hard to make knees go past the toes. Well, I'll be doing them tomorrow and I'll see how it goes.

Pretty close to parallel i.e put your front foot forward quite far out
