Re: How do you view the last 3 years of your life?
In the last 3 years I've graduated, moved to Bristol, got a job I really enjoy, and which is a great career step for me, left my abusive ex, moved into my own flat and met my lovely boyfriend, who I'm now planning to move in with next year.
My life's been on turbo for the past three years I think. I haven't enjoyed all of it, but I'm a million times happier today than I was three years ago. I'm very glad everything that has happened in the past three years happened, but I'm glad its over and I've looking forward to a nice quiet three years to come

Re: How do you view the last 3 years of your life?
A much needed learning curve! Started uni, have changed a lot and still have no idea what I want to do with my life but feel relatively happy for the moment (much happier than I have been in the previous 3 years!). The only thing I'd change is my attitude and reaction to certain things, I wouldn't take anything back event wise!

Re: How do you view the last 3 years of your life?
Degree subject? Poor choice.
University? Best decision in life so far.
I've spent the past 3 years studying for a degree in a subject I initially thought I had an interest in, but realising now I have an interest in a very niche part of. It's interdiscplinary and it's given me copious amounts of useful knowledge, skills, and experience, but in the end, it won't mean much in terms of my career.
I have found a love for something else though: volunteering. I've spent about 10 hours a day volunteering for the past 3 years, and it's been such an amazing experience, hopefully helped a lot of people, and made people that little bit happier each day
I've got into travelling (cheap travelling mind), more outdoor sports and leading, and chosen a new career path.
What would I change? Nothing.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but everything we do shapes who we are, and will shape what I do for years and decades to come

Re: How do you view the last 3 years of your life?
I think the last 3 years have been very formative and character building for me. I discovered qualities I never knew about myself, e.g. I can be courageous and organied when I want to be/really put my mind to it! I discovered how strong I can be and that my memory is better than I had previously thought. I learnt how to love someone and how to let them love me; also how to care (in practical terms) for someone and how to let them care for me. I tried my hand at amateur drama for the first time and it was a great success and something I am still very proud of. I somehow left Oxford with a degree and that's something I'm learning very slowly to be proud of
I'm on track to get a Merit in my Masters
On the downside, my health completely exploded and has been left in tatters. I'm a shadow of the person I once was, both socially and academically. I've been officially classified disabled and am hugely dependent on my parents. My Masters course has been a huge struggle. I had my heart and trust broken. My faith took a great battering. My wonderful nurse left me
My mother figure won't talk to me and my father figure can't. Basically my life's a mess
I like to think things will get better though, one day

Re: How do you view the last 3 years of your life?
I don't want to share my list of everything that's happened in the past 3 years because I don't want to bore everyone but considering how things were 3 years ago, I am much much happier and looking forward to the future a lot more than I was at 16/17.

Scouting
International Links Scheme Assistant Manager
Explorer Scout Leader
Training Advisor
District Explorer Scout Administrator
Scout Active Support Member
A few of those are admin roles, but roles that need to be done nonetheless. The rest are helping out with the kids, helping them create and run their programme which covers anything imaginable!
Schools
In process of becoming a School Governor for a primary and a secondary school.
I do feel that student and young people input is often missed in community schools, so I thought I'd see what I can bring to the table as a governor
Students' Union
So so many things.
This is where I am for the next year - Education Officer in my SU. Students are some of the most inspiring people I have ever met, and so motivated and passionate about something, whether it be a society, their course, a sport, or volunteering themselves. I'm so keen to help students out and help improve the learning experience

Re: How do you view the last 3 years of your life?
I have literally done **** all, which is quite depressing for over the course of three years. on the other hand, I have learnt about myself, and am starting to learn what my strength and weaknesses are. after having completely made stupid decisions and feeling like I have hit rock bottom I at least feel I can only progress forward
and for that whilst I have regrets, at least my poor decisions have been valuable to me. :/

Re: How do you view the last 3 years of your life?
Full of opportunity I didn't take, and full of disillusionment over everything. Cut out of countless peoples' lives for no apparent reason; and still with no explanation (and with no chance of ever getting one, either). Met someone I wish I'd never met. Diagnosed with clinical depression. Confidence became non-existent. Real struggle to get out of bed in the morning or feel motivated, let alone finish my degree.
On the flipside, I got a degree from a top-20 university; I've finally been out of Europe - had a job in America last year and now I'm working in a temporary graduate job in New Zealand (I'm one of a small minority of Europeans who can claim to have experienced both a hurricane and a relatively large earthquake). And I've been given a Masters offer from a Russell Group, in a subject area I developed a real interest in over the last 3 years. Pretty happy with all of this.
Still, none of this stops me feeling generally crap - mainly because people are ****, but at the same time because I made a series of decisions which turned out to be wrong. Will still take a while to be happy with everything I think, but I'm getting there.
