Architecture? Or Engineering 4 future?
Hi. Im stuck between architecture and civil engineering or aerospace, or basically any type of engineering... I seem interested in architecture more, but i still like engineering, but people say "dont be an architect" because it has less jobs than engineering. Any help?

I would advise doing some work experience. It is likely to either confirm your feelings or completely put you off. For me it made me realise architecture was exactly what I wanted to do. Perhaps you could look at a practice that has both architecture and an engineering department in the same company and ask to have some experience of both. I did work experience at Pick Everard (there are a few branches of this across the country) which had both departments, but I only went to the architecture department.
It is true that there is more demand for engineers, especially in the UK, but it isn't impossible to get a job in architecture. What is it about the two professions you like most, is it the design process (leaning more towards architecture) or the mathematical side (leaning more towards engineering)? Possibly the A-levels you pick will determine which direction you go in, most will be accepted for architecture but engineering (especially particular kinds) will be more specific, often needing maths and/or physics. Hope this helps to some degree. -
Re: Architecture? Or Engineering 4 future?
i did aerospace engineering, i wanted to do architecture. After three years of endless stress and arguably the most hardcore exams possible, i can get a job fairly easily with a starting salary of 30k...
....but i wish i did architecture because i hated the maths involved and tbh engineers aren't respected in the uk as other professionals, which is a shame because in germany they're respected on a level with doctors.
